There Are New Princesses of Heart
Thanks to the translation by KH Insider, we have new clarification on Nomura’s comments in his interview with Famitsu.
His confusing statement about the old Organization members has been mostly clarified (some returned as humans and became Nobodies again, some returned through other means, and the ones helping Sora are human), and it also addresses a confusing point from the E3 trailers.
When Larxene mentions that Elsa might be one of the pure lights they’re searching for, this led to questions from fans, since we already know the identities of the Seven Princesses of Heart.
It turns out there are new ones! Kairi is the only one of the previous seven who is still a Princess of Heart.
She’s talking about a new generation of Seven Princesses. In KH3D, it was revealed that even if they don’t gather all seven guardians of light, Master Xehanort will go after seven princesses instead… right? Those seven princesses are now new successors – Kairi is the only one who has kept her position. People considered candidates as one of the other six – Rapunzel, Anna, Elsa etc. – are now being targeted.
For a long time, fans had speculated that being a Princess of Heart might be more of a position that is passed down, since these seven haven’t been alive long enough to have been the only ones.
This seems to confirm that. For whatever reason, Alice, Snow White, Jasmine, Belle, Cinderella, and Aurora are no longer Princesses of Heart. Xehanort is therefore hunting down people who might be the new Princesses.
Who will the new six Princesses of Heart be? Will they all be from Disney worlds? It would be interesting if someone else joined Kairi as a non-Disney Princess of Heart.
And why did six of the original seven need successors? It doesn’t seem like an age thing, since Kairi is older than Alice. Maybe it has something to do with the state of their worlds?
